June 6, 2025 — The Wesco Youth Lacrosse League celebrated the end of its inaugural season this past weekend by crowning champions in all four age divisions — with a unique and fitting twist: each of the league’s four founding clubs walked away with a title.
In the K-2 division, the Monroe Bearcats took home the crown with a 7-4 win over the Marysville Chargers, following a dominant 9-1 semifinal victory over Stanwood.
The 3/4 division was all Marysville, as the Chargers’ Black team overpowered Stanwood 20-3 in the final, after defeating Everett 20-2 in the semis.
In the 5/6 division, Everett completed a perfect season with an 8-0 shutout over Stanwood, capping off a year of consistent dominance.
And in the 7/8 division, Stanwood claimed the title with a 3-0 win over Everett — the same margin by which they won both regular season matchups.
To mark the occasion, all four championship teams got to raise the Wesco Cup — the league’s singular, traveling trophy. Each year, the names of the winning teams in each division will be engraved on plates mounted to the base of the Cup, creating a growing legacy of champions.
In a poetic close to Wesco’s first season, each club — Monroe, Marysville, Everett, and Stanwood — earned a share of history. Four divisions. Four champions. One cup.
